The following Terms of Use apply when visiting and using this Gamma Leonis Books website, and when placing an order with us. If a visitor or user does not agree with the following Terms of Use, then the visitor or user should leave this website immediately.

These Terms of Use and any and all separate agreements which Gamma Leonis Books (herein and throughout this website referred to as "Gamma Leonis Books", "the publisher", "the Publisher", "The publisher", "The Publisher", "our", "Our", "us", "Us", "we" or "We") offer the visitor, user and customer are governed by and created in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong Special Adminstrative Region of the People’s Republic of China, herein referred to as Hong Kong S.A.R., and international copyright and trademark laws.

Gamma Leonis Books publishes books by author Marianne Andersen written in the fairy tale genre all of which are works of fiction.  With singular exceptions and express permissions which are acknowledged in our published fairy tales, the names, characters, locations, and incidents are either the product of the author’s imagination or used fictitiously.  Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or events is entirely and purely coincidental.  Throughout this website we refer to our published works as "fairy tale", "fairy tales", "Fairy tale", "Fairy tales", "Fairy Tale", "Fairy Tales", "book", "books", "Book", "Books", "digital book", "digital books", "Digital book", "Digital books", "e-book", "e-books", "fiction book", "fiction books", "Fiction Book", "Fiction Books", "Product", "Products", "physical book", "Physical book", "physical books", "Physical books", "Physical Books", "publications", "Publications", "the published work" or "the published works".  No part of the author’s publications, be they physical or digital, may be reproduced or transmitted by any means, electronic, mechanical, photocopying, recording or otherwise, without the prior written permission of both the copyright owner and the publisher of these books; and from no part of the author’s publications may derivative works be created, or any Content be exploited.  The author’s publications are protected by copyright, trademark, intellectual property rights, and worldwide rights.

3. All Content within this Gamma Leonis Books website, including, but not limited to, trademarks, logos, text, photographs, images; fan art, fan mail, book reviews sent or submitted either online, by email, by postal mail or by any other means or devices; etc., is the property of Gamma Leonis Books and is protected by Hong Kong S.A.R. and international copyright laws, and Hong Kong S.A.R. patent and trademark laws.  No part of this website and no part of its Content may be reproduced, copied, duplicated, distributed, redistributed, or transmitted by any means, electronic or otherwise, in any way, shape or form, without the prior written permission of both the copyright owner and the publisher Gamma Leonis Books.  It is strictly prohibited to make unauthorised use of any Content in this Gamma Leonis Books website.  If a visitor or user would like to use and promote any material on this website, they may contact us directly at gammaleonisbooks@gmail.com for written and signed permission and consent.  Likewise, if a visitor or user would like to promote author Marianne Andersen, our Books and their Book Covers, they may also contact us at the same email address.

4. All Artwork (excluding the Graphic Designer’s biographical information and photograph - please refer to the About Us page - both of which are protected by international copyright laws) on this Gamma Leonis Books website, specifically the Book Covers and the Illustrations included inside the Fiction Books which we publish, is the property of GAM and is protected under Hong Kong S.A.R. and international copyright laws.  No Artwork may be reproduced, copied, duplicated, distributed, or transmitted by any means, electronic or otherwise, in any way, shape or form, by or on any type of device, without the prior written permission of both the copyright owner GAM and the publisher Gamma Leonis Books.  It is strictly prohibited to make unauthorised use of any Artwork by GAM in this Gamma Leonis Books website.  If a visitor or user would like to promote the Artwork, our Books, their Book Covers and/or Illustrations, they may contact us directly at gammaleonisbooks@gmail.com for written and signed permission.

5. All Content which is provided on and throughout the Gamma Leonis Books website is without warranties.  We do not warrant that our Books are error-free or that their quality will meet your expectations, that our website will be virus-free, that the content of our website is error-free, that any errors will be amended, nor that our website will be available at all times throughout the world.  Gamma Leonis Books may ameliorate the books, website, services, etc., at any point in time at its sole discretion.

6. Gamma Leonis Books reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any point in time.

7. The links which are made available on the Gamma Leonis Books website to third party websites are for the benefit of the visitor and the user of our website.  Gamma Leonis Books is not responsible or accountable for the contents, privacy policies, and privacy practices of those third party websites.

8. Prices for our Physical Books as set out in our website are in Hong Kong Dollars and include FREE WORLDWIDE SHIPPING using Registered Mail.  Please do not send orders via email. 

9. Gamma Leonis Books reserves the right to change the prices for any or all our Books, both physical and digital, without notice and at any point in time at its sole discretion.  As the price of our physical books set out in our website are in Hong Kong Dollars, it is the responsibility of the customer to determine what currency they shall pay in, and if they choose a currency other than Hong Kong Dollars, to investigate and confirm with their local bank what the exchange rate is in their chosen or local currency, and what credit card charges there may be, if any;  Gamma Leonis Books is not liable to the customer for any currency fluctuations and credit card charges that the customer may receive for placing an order with us, therefore customers placing an international or local order with us are fully responsible for any and all costs incurred in the book order they place with us, irrespective of the exchange rate made on the day that the order is confirmed and processed by PayPal.

10. Usually you are not charged customs and duties upon delivery.  However, if your country's customs and duties necessitate this practice of upon-delivery charging, then the buyer shall be wholly responsible for paying these customs and duties charges;  Gamma Leonis Books does not cover and is not liable for those customs and duties charges.

11. Gamma Leonis Books is unable to guarantee the customer that the sale and delivery of its Book/Books to a specific country, location or address is permissible or possible, so the visitor, user and customer is advised to be aware of these geographic import restrictions before placing an order with us.  

12. Gamma Leonis Books does not permit the resale of its Books, which are our Products, once they have been ordered, shipped, and delivered to a customer.      

13. If we deem that an order is being placed by dealers, resellers or distributors who have not contacted Gamma Leonis Books for written permission to establish a Contractual Agreement with us, in order that the former may do illegal business with our Products (which are specifically our Books, in both their physical and digital formats), then Gamma Leonis Books reserves the right to limit the quantities of Books that we sell per customer, per address, or per order; to refuse an order; to prohibit an order; or to cancel an order, at any point in time in its sole discretion.

14. Gamma Leonis Books reserves the right to amend this website and edit, add, delete any Content or services in this website at any point in time at its sole discretion.

15. Gamma Leonis Books is grateful for all the book reviews which we receive for our books.  If a visitor, user, customer or reader chooses to submit a book review for a book published by Gamma Leonis Books only through our website's Contact Form or to gammaleonisbooks@gmail.com , the visitor, user, customer, or reader thereby gives Gamma Leonis Books the royalty-free, non-exclusive, irreversible, final, and unending and permanent right and license to use, reproduce, publish, and distribute these book reviews in any media for any commercial purposes for perpetuity. The visitor, user, customer, or reader who submits a book review may request that Gamma Leonis Books not publish their name next to their book review which they have given their consent to be shared by Gamma Leonis Books, and we shall honour that request so that the book review is and remains "Anonymous" for perpetuity.  Gamma Leonis Books respects the visitor, user, customer, and reader’s privacy, for more information please refer to our Privacy Policy. By publishing the book reviews written and submitted by visitors, users, customers and readers for our books, Gamma Leonis Books cannot be held responsible or accountable for the personal opinions and points of view of these visitors, users, customers and readers.

16. Codes and Standards of Behaviour and Courtesy:  The visitor and user to the Gamma Leonis Books website agrees not to partake in or submit statements, opinions, suggestions, information, etc., that are negative, immoral, amoral, abusive, harmful, hateful, harassing, obscene, racist, offensive, vulgar, violent, invasive of another person’s privacy, libelous, directly or indirectly indicative or suggestive of any illegal acts or linked to any criminal activity, or which violate copyright laws, trademark laws or any laws in any country.  The visitor and user of the Gamma Leonis Books website agrees not to submit any material to us that contains a virus or any harmful component that could or will damage our website or any links that we have provided on our website, nor submit any material to us that contains a virus or any harmful component that could or will interfere with our website or any links that we have provided on our website.

Gamma Leonis Books reserves the right not to respond to each email or submission made to us.  If we feel in any way that the content of an email or submission violates these Terms of Use (please see Paragraph 13 which defines Gamma Leonis Books’ expected Codes and Standards of Behaviour and Courtesy), we shall not respond.      

18. Gamma Leonis Books, its service providers, and suppliers are not liable to any visitor, user or customer or any other person for any harm (including death), damages, lost profits, be any of these direct or indirect, accidental or incidental, repairs or servicing costs of any electronic devices, under any circumstances whatsoever, which may result from a) using the Gamma Leonis Books website, b) from using a link or links to a third-party website which is/are/have been featured on our website, c) from using a link or links from a third-party website which links to our Gamma Leonis Books website, d) from buying our Books, or e) from reading our Books.  Should you be unhappy with our website, you may either email us your comments, or your sole recourse is to leave our website immediately.

19. The visitor, user and customer of Gamma Leonis Books agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Gamma Leonis Books, its service providers, and suppliers from any claim or demand, including legal fees, made by any third-party/third-parties due to or having arisen from the visitor, user and customer’s breach of these Terms of Use or the documents they incorporate by reference, or the visitor, user and customer’s violation of any law or the rights of a third party/third-parties.

20. Gamma Leonis Books does not permit anyone to use hyperlinks from their website to our website without having been given express written and signed permission by us to do so. An advance Agreement must comply with the following criteria from Gamma Leonis Books, that a) Your website may not directly or indirectly insinuate, suggest or indicate that Gamma Leonis Books is endorsing or endorses your products, personal opinions or points of view; b) Your website may not copy our Gamma Leonis Books website; c) To fulfil the requirements of behaviour and courtesy your website must comply with the provisions of all Paragraphs in our Terms of Use; d) Your website may not use the Gamma Leonis Books Trademark; e) Your website may not contain content that is or could be seen as negative, immoral, amoral, abusive, harmful, hateful, harassing, obscene, racist, offensive, vulgar, violent, invasive of another person’s privacy, libelous, directly or indirectly indicative or suggestive of any illegal acts or linked to any criminal activity, or which violate copyright laws, trademark laws or any laws in any country; f) Your website may not depreciate, denigrate, degrade or defame Gamma Leonis Books, our website, our Author, our Artist, our Graphic Designer, our Products (which are specifically our Books, in both their physical and digital formats), our service providers, or our suppliers in any way, shape or form; g) Your website may not publish erroneous and inaccurate information about Gamma Leonis Books; h) Your website may not create a framed browser around the Gamma Leonis Books website; and i) Your website may not interfere with our website’s services in any way, shape or form.  Failure to comply with all of these criteria will result in the Agreement being revoked by us. 

21. Gamma Leonis Books reserves the right not to publish a book review which has been sent to us.  Gamma Leonis Books reserves the right to remove a book review at any point in time at its sole discretion.

22. Gamma Leonis Books reserves the right to identify any visitor, user or customer of the Gamma Leonis Books website to third parties if there is a violation of any of the Terms of Use of this website, if Gamma Leonis Books is being sent negative or offensive material or content (please see Paragraph 13 which defines Gamma Leonis Books’ expected Codes and Standards of Behaviour and Courtesy), if Gamma Leonis Books is being falsely or negatively represented or disparaged in submissions to us or through websites that link to the Gamma Leonis Books website, or if our Products or the published works (which are specifically our Books, in both their physical and digital formats) of Gamma Leonis Books are being in any way depreciated, denigrated, degraded or defamed which negatively affects and/or harms the Publisher’s or Author’s reputation.

23. Gamma Leonis Books is not accepting book submissions at this point in time.

24. The Publisher regrets that the author is unable to autograph book copies ordered through the Gamma Leonis Books website.

26. Gamma Leonis Books reserves the right to amend and update these Terms of Use at any point in time at its sole good faith discretion.  The Terms of Use herein have been written in English, and the provisions of the English version shall prevail.

27. The visitor, user, and customer of the Gamma Leonis Books website is subject to and bound by our Terms of Use.
